Ottawa International Animation Festival 2009

Want a chance to have the world see your film? Students, independents, and industry alike can now submit their films for the OIAF 09 Festival. With a variety of categories, "best of the rest" screenings and no entry fee, there's no reason NOT to enter!

The deadline for entry forms is June 1, and we must receive your preview DVD by June 15. Click here for all the information you need!

What do we have in store for you in October 2009? Here's just a taste of what to expect:

-- Retrospectives of Don Hertzfeldt, Suzan Pitt, Jim Blashfield, Stan VanDerBeek and Studio Film Bilder -- Honorary President Otto Alder will present his hand-picked 7 Reasons to Love Animation -- Can't Draw Straight: Queer Perspectives in Animation -- A special look at Quebec animation -- NFB's exclusive exhibition of SANDDE, the 3D animation technique -- OIAF 09 Poster, designed by Canadian artist and animator Theodore Ushev

The official OIAF Podcast is back, and better than ever! Originally premiering in 2006, the Festival Podcast features downloadable essays, videos and audio files that give you in-depth information and insight into the programming and preparation of the Ottawa International Animation Festival.
