In autumn 2015, "New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 2015" will be held inside the terminal building of New Chitose Airport, the gateway of Hokkaido to the world and also well known as an entertainment airport.

Best Music Animation with 200,000JPY
From 18th April, we opened the submission of the entries for the competition for the second edition of the festival. For this edition, along with the International Competition, we add another new competition programs: "Music Animation Competition". This competition features animation expression in music video. The award winner will receive 200,000yen as a prize money. The submission closes on June 30th. We'll wait your submissions.

The world's first self-conained "Airport Film Festival"
New Chitose Airport, a gateway to Hokkaido Island and one of the biggest airports in Japan, is equipped with all the facilities required to stage a film festival, such as a movie theater, a conference hall, accommodation facility and spa facility, resulting in the world's first self-contained "airport film festival" in 2014. The international competition for short animated films is held with a 1 million yen grand-prix. Last year the festival was huge success gathering about 30 thousands of attendance in 4 days. We also invited tens of international guests. We welcome your application and look forward to seeing you at New Chitose Airport!
