Major League Gaming (MLG), the professional video game league, is bringing its Pro Circuit tour to San Diego June 13-15, the only West Coast MLG stop in 2008. Thousands of pro gamers, aspiring competitors and spectators will come together for three days of intense competition and entertainment, with over $60,000 in prizes at stake. MLG's season opener at the Meadowlands, New Jersey, USA in March attracted 12,000 attendees and its live broadcasts generated 1.5 million live and on-demand video streams.
Admission to the event is free, and spectators can enjoy gaming activities and merchandise giveaways throughout the weekend, as well as be in the audience for MLGPro.com's live broadcasts of ESPN Saturday Night and MLG Championship Sunday.
The San Diego MLG Pro Circuit competition will feature HALO 3 and Tom Clancy's RAINBOW SIX VEGAS 2. The San Diego event also marks the debut of the MLG PC Circuit, played on HP Blackbird 002, featuring WORLD OF WARCRAFT: THE BURNING CRUSADE and $30,000 in prizes.
