Steve Wright Digital FX, Composite Components Co. and the Gnomon School of Visual Effects are holding a workshop on compositing. Steve Wright, the author of DIGITAL COMPOSITING FOR FILM AND VIDEO, will present an evening of greenscreen compositing techniques for VFX using production examples from DORME, a 35mm fantasy short. DORME features 64 visual effects shots utilizing greenscreen compositing, matte paintings, 3D animation, motion tracking, set extensions and special "Steve Magic." Other speakers will include Jonathan Erland, CEO of Composite Components Co., and Ron Ungerman from Ultimatte. A social hour will begin at 6:30 pm, followed by the presentation. The event will take place at Gnomon School of Visual Effects, located at 1015 N. Cahuenga Blvd., Stage 15, Hollywood, California 90038.
