Cross-over Publishing, Animation and New Media Panel

What do producers, writers, and directors of children's programming need to know to take advantage of the wide range of marketing opportunities that exist today in children's television?

NYWIFT has assembled a panel of experts on animation programming to discuss how content providers can make the most of their properties. They'll show you how to create multimedia strategies that take television shows to publishing, the Internet and the toy merchandising, as well as provide advice on marketing and licensing agreements. The panel includes:

* Ruth Pomerance (moderator) -- The Rockwell Group * Karen Fowler -- exec producer, NEW ELECTRIC COMPANY * Dorothea Gillim -- creator, THE AMAZING COLOSSAL ADVENTURES OF WORDGIRL and HEY MONIE * Susan Miller -- founder, Mixed Media Group and Bolder Media, * Dolores Morris -- vp, development, production & acquisition, HBO Family * Teri Weiss -- svp, production & development, Nickelodeon Preschool Television

Running from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, the event will take place at Marymount Manhattan College, 221 East 71st Street. It is $5 for NYWIFT, Women In Animation and Women In Children's Media members; $10 for non-members; and free to Marymount Manhattan students & faculty (valid ID required). A reception will follow the panel. For more information, visit www.nywift.org.
