To allow ASIFA members a chance to catch Cartoon Network's Annie nominated short films, THE GROOVENIANS and THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DOO, the network is having a screening on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at 7:00 pm at their Burbank studios: 300 N. 3rd Street Burbank, CA 91502. THE GROOVENIANS is a fast-paced, campy CGI tale, featuring the voice talents of Dennis Hopper, Paul Reubens, Drena DeNiro, Ann Magnuson, RuPaul, Debi Mazar and Vincent Gallo, with music by Devo's Mark Mothersbaugh and The B-52s. THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DOO is a revisionist take on an episode of the original Hanna-Barbera series, SCOOBY-DOO, reminiscent of SPACE GHOST: COAST TO COAST.
