After 10 successful years spent at the Babelsberg Studio in Potsdam (Berlin), Cartoon Movie is moving to Lyon in France, the city where cinema was born.
Lyon is the capital of the Rhone-Alpes Region, which is particularly active in the audiovisual industry, and more specifically in the area of animation film, hosting Annecy's Festival and Market of international animation film, Folimage studios and La Poudriere animation film school.
The settling of Cartoon Movie in Lyon is also a great opportunity to establish a new synergy between the European animation film market and the video games market, which is a thriving industry in Lyon.
The successful concept of Cartoon Movie will of course remain the same. For two intense days, European producers have an opportunity to present their animation projects to about 500 professionals in order to negotiate financing, to find partners and to interest distributors.
