Best Of Ottawa 2007

The Best of Ottawa program showcases many of the outstanding films presented in our Official Competition. The 2007 program includes such exceptional films as Tom Brown & Daniel Gray’s award winning T.O.M., Aaron Augenblick’s hilarious GOLDEN AGE, Tibor Bancozki’s dark and disturbing MILK TEETH and the humorous JOHN AND KAREN by Matthew Walker.

See the program at 8 p.m. April 28 at Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater, 631 West 2nd Street, Los Angeles, California 90012. Admission fee is $9; $7 for students.

The festival received a record number of entries, with 2,078 film submissions from 73 countries around the world. Of the entries submitted, 97 were chosen to compete in the Official Competition, which took place September 19-23, 2007 in Ottawa, Ontario. The selected films competed in six main competitions: Feature Film, New Media, Independent Short Films, Commissioned Films, Student Films and Animation Made for Children. Prizes were awarded for each competition and individual competition category.

The Best of Ottawa 2007 is only a sampling of the animated works; don't miss the full festival experience at the 2008 Ottawa International Animation Festival taking place September 17-21, 2008.
