Gnomon School of Visual Effects and the Autodesk Media and Ent.'s community website The Area (area.autodesk.com) will present Sony Pictures Imageworks' cloth and hair team from BEOWULF from 6:00-9:00 pm at Gnomon.
Guests will include Sho Igarashi, cloth and hair supervisor, and Mark de Sousa, CG supervisor, who will demo the flow of the cloth and hair work on the performance capture hybrid feature by Robert Zemeckis.
They will cover costume and hair acquisition on set, procedural costume builds, hair builds and dynamics/rigs, in addition to the character connect from animation to cloth and hair.
A meet and greet will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by the presentation at 7:00 pm. Gnomon School of Visual Effects -- Stage 15 is located at 1015 N. Cahuenga Blvd. Hollywood, California 90038. Seating is limited to this free event so please RSVP to reserve@gnomon3d.com.
