ASIFA-HOLLYWOOD To Screen Tim Tyler Cartoon Classics At AFI AFI

By popular demand, ASIFA-Hollywood will present an all-new tribute to eccentric animator Jim Tyer with 35mm Technicolor prints of his best cartoons at the American Film Institute in the Ted Ashley Screening Room on Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 3:00P.M. Jim Tyer was best known for his exaggerated style of cartooning for East Coast animation studios Paramount and 20th Century Fox in the 1940s and 1950s. Some of the popular characters he brought to life included POPEYE and MIGHTY MOUSE. Sit back in our plush new screening room seats and prepare to be amazed by the abstract cartoonery of Jim Tyer in Tech! Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 3:00 pm.
