9th Annual New York Digital Salon

The New York Digital Salon (NYDS) will open its ninth annual exhibition of international digital art on December 17, 2001 with a reception held from 6pm to 8 pm. The Ninth New York Digital Salon is sponsored by School of Visual Arts, the Institute for Computers in the Arts, Leonardo, MIT Press and Artbyte magazine. The NYDS exhibits the work of prominent digital artists from around the globe--this year 17 countries are represented--and displays the numerous forms in which digital art hasevolved. From digital prints to interactive installations; CD-ROMs and computer animation to digital video,audio and music performances, digital art has matured into a respected segment of the visual art world.
