Which animation software to use?

By Dinesh | Monday, March 9, 2015 at 4:02pm

Hi everyone,

I would like to get some advice from you related to learning a computer animation software. I have a big interest in creating animations such as the ones shown on the following YouTube videos:

I would appreciate if you could advise what specific software I should learn to make such animations.

Any specific links to online tutorials are much appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Dinesh

Hello I  don't know what was used to make those but looks like an advanced power point. I like ToonBoom Harmony just upgraded to 12 Premium.  They just came out with some cheaper options for it also I liked Anime studio pro.

one of the most common question I get from people (both friends and readers) is “What software do you use?” Is it Maya? After Effects? Flash? In this article I will break down the options you have when choosing your animation software.

Before I start I want to clarify that this is only my opinion based on my experience. It’s important to remember that good skills will get you far no matter what software you use. Tools are just tools.

I did not include every animation software out there, just the ones I thought were good enough to mention.
