How do i get in to Nickoloden or disney studios

Hi im going to college for simulation & game development its a 2 year degree at a community college. But the degree its more focusing on games more but it has 3d animation course as well will be able to get in to Nickoloden or disney with my degree . i want to create a animate series for one of the studios. What do i need or what do they look for in a series .

I'd imagine they look for the

I'd imagine they look for the same thing as most places, good animation skills, drawing skills, etc. But maybe take a look at their sites and what they've been up to now. Figure out what programs they likely use (do they use Flash, Toon Boom, Maya, etc). Knowing all this will help you focus your own portfolio to what they want, if that's where you want to work in the future.

If you're talking about pitching a show specifically, Nickelodeon do these short animations program thing, where you can pitch your own short. I think if they like it then they can produce it alongside other shorts by other people. I know there was one not long ago, but it might be closed down. Pretty sure they do it every year though.

I'm not sure if they still accept pitches, but Frederator Studios (Fairly Odd Parents, Adventure Time) were accepting pitches and often did their own animated shorts program like Nick. Their last one was GO! Cartoons and I'm pretty sure they haven't released all the shorts yet even though it's several years since it started.

If you could ask executives that work there how they look for, that'd also be a big help to you.

Anyway, hope that helps. Good luck!
