The best thing you could do

The best thing you could do is to take drawing classses and work on drawing at least every other day. As for issues around using software, what kind of budget do you have?

i learnt how to draw from

i learnt how to draw from drawing by my self. and stealing others style. i'm not kidding, i would stare for hours and study how others drew, why they drew how they drew and how i could improve. i know i sound ballsy and like an art thief, but i promise it was not my intent. i was just intrigued by the differences in everyones style and even how some people draw the same it would still look a little bit different, you don't need to take classes to learn how to draw. if the necks are to long, shorten them (it's not that hard) if you have a hard time drawing noses, do a 100 everyday.

first draw the nose how you would naturally even if it looks bad, draw it, then compare it with an artist you admire and see what you are doing wrong, this is how to improve. literally learn from the best.

i personaly approach art like an equation and it has helped me a-lot, first you solve it and get it wrong then you get some one else with the answer to solve, and you learn from how they did it, then you can improve on their own method to create something new and more efficient.

I and some other artist live by this “Good artists copy; great artists steal” by Pablo Picasso.

do not be afraid to steal. also when he says steal he means "to understand why they do what they do, and how to improve on that, to make it yours".
