So I got my series finished, now what?

Hi all,

I'm an independent animator with an independent studio that fortunately has managed to make most of the stuff needed to make an animated TV series (writing, animating, directing, music) in 2D. The result is a very personal work who could fit in certain markets.

AND NOW WHAT?

I have got not enough budget to go to fairs and pitch; but I've seen that many distribution and production companies have public emails to which you can send copies of the series at no cost; some of them accept "unsolicited" material (provided that, if they have their email there, they are implicitly accepting it).

Do you think is a good way to send emails to distribution companies worldwide? How would they take to answer? Is it much better to pitch on fairs? Is this the only way or is there another?

Thanks so much for your help in advance.

By the way, if you want to see some of my work, check out my website,

Regards :)

i think that sending emails is a good way,but is not best way .you may through the facebook .it is also a good way .

Hello there Petertos,

Congratulations on finishing your series. Of course you can try contacting distributors and Broadcasters through emails, but I think going to trade shows and fairs is one of the best ways for marketing your series.

Attending Trade Markets shows that you are a serious producer and Broadcasters and TV executives will take you seriously. However attending markets is no guarantee that your series will get sold. That depends upon how good your work is and are broadcasters looking for.

So go ahead and take the plunge. All the best.

Cheers!
