I'm sorry but the vast majority of that stuff is just ... and people paid almost four hundred bucks to get their ads in print.
Just for the record, did any Pitch Party winners ever get their projects made into a show or even a short?
Not that I'm aware of. This question has been asked of Animation Mag before, and their response is usually that the contest is about exposure, not a guarantee of a production deal.
I've always felt the contest is about adding to Animation Magazine's ad revenue...
Tell me about it. Each entry this year cost $375 and there were fifty-six of them. That's $21,000! I don't know how it works in detail but in case they were paid, each of the judges must've at least gotten one grand out of this.
...but "LERNING IS FUB!" did make me chortle for a sec! :)
