yeah it is different! with Flash Adobe CS3 they flipped the paint bucket! after 15 years they decided, hey you know what? Let's flip the bucket around.
that's soo much better now it comes out the right-hand side.

Plus many other minor irritating changes: tarting up the icons because, er, they worked fine for 12 years but we can improve them by making them a bit smaller and adding shine and shadow....

(Grrrr.)

Hahaha, that was the first thing that I noticed too, and it bugs the crap out of me.

Also the interface colors are more muted so it's alittle harder for me to navigate now.

They did fix the problem of drawing inside a flipped symbol though. One down, 50 more problems to fix. Actually more like 5. :)

Whoa, they flipped the bucket!? How dare they do that, it would get me mad.

Hi, be sure to check out my blog! A few thing there, and I'll also be putting some of my work (pictures and short carttons) there too in the future: http://ukracattack.blogspot.com:)
I am also making a Flash animated cartoon that I plan to air on it's website in Fall 2008. It's called Tednut and it's about an personified peanut named Ted and his friend Kernal, and their basic adventures in their town of Sleepy Oaks, New York: http://tednut.sampasite.com:D

Thanks for the help... I've just installed Flash CS3.. The website u suggested had some great tutorials... too bad its not free... Oh well, guess I'll just have to learn it by my own... Whats to gain, without a little pain.....

Oh yea, 1 question.... If I do have questions regarding Flash and its tools... Where do u think i should post at... here or at another place?

I don't have CS3, but with past versions of Flash the best way to become familiar with the tools was to work through the tutorials that are in it under the help menu.

Working through them will give you a pretty good handle on what they can and can't do. I would work through one, then design a short piece using what I had learned.

Adobe bought Macromedia so now its Adobe Flash. There is no more Macromedia Flash.

The program should've come with a manual and a basic tutorial in the program under the help menu. Also try poking around www.coldhardflash.com I'm not sure, but they might have some tutorials or links to sites with tutorials.

Really? Cause my Flash is now called Marcomedia Flash 8. And I always thought that that site was just news about Flash cartoons.

Versions of Flash before Adobe bought Macromedia are still called Macromedia Flash whatever. Flash CS is the first to carry the Adobe name.

If you go to the "Community" section, there are several forums covering many different topics.
