I'm considering hurting my wallet by investing in a cintiq, but everyone keeps saying that you should definately try it out before you buy. But where can I go to try one out, is there any particular store that has them set up or what?

I was wondering the same thing. Some of my co-workers talks about how awesome it is, but I can't imagine how long I can stand staring at an LCD screen at a closer range than what I normally do with a regular monitor.
Can't find a store that has it on display here in Canada too.

Maybe we could talk AWN into buying one and ship it around to all of us. We each get two weeks to try it out. :D I know... I know...
We need to keep track of conventions that blow through, I am sure that some of the minor conventions would have a display.

I'd say definitely try out anything that expensive before you invest in it. I did with my Wacom Tablet (borrowed one from the lending stores at uni, and liked it).
Also, if in doubt as to how long you could sit at an LCD screen - just take rests now and then.
