What should I add in my protfolio? (it's urgent)

I am an enthusiastic fresher. Presently I need some guideline from you all.

Presently I am doing a course of multimedia and have just finished MAX and COMBUSTION.
Softwares that I have done= FLASH, PHOTOSHOP, COREL DRAW, DIRECTOR, PREMIER, ILLUSTRATOR, 3D MAX and COMBUSTION. Presently I am practicing Toon BOOMS by my self.

My interests are VISUALIZATION AND STORY BOARDING.I am more interest in the conceptual part of animation than the technical part. My drawing skills are good but I never claim my self as an artist; but I can draw what ever given to me.
Just tell me what should I add in my portfolio.. softwares that I am interested in are FLASH (ANIMATION PART), PHOTOSHOP, 3D MAX and ILLUSTRATOR OR
FREEHAND, AFTER EFFECTS( TEXT ANIMATION PART) and TOON BOOMS.

In a software there are various possibilities and I have no intention to be the master of any; I am target oriented. It will be kind enough if u can tell me in the softwares which parts should I stress more as It is not possible to know it all.

So my questions are two 1) what should I add in my portfolio? and 2) which part of the softwares should I stress more according to my interests or quality?

I am intending to create a good portfolio with a 2 to 3 min long 2d animation and then rest of my works in an interactive format.

I have also planned moreover started to read the ANIMATOR'S SURVIVAL KIT.
I stay in CALCUTTA, INDIA.

guide me please.:)

Depends on what you want to do

Hi there. Youre in Calcutta. Good.
Im currently directing at DQ Entertainment in Hyderabad.

Look, it really depends on what you want to do... really.
Do you want to work in animation? If you do, there are plenty of studios in India: Crest, DQ, Toonz, UTV, Prana, Tata.... but they hire ANIMATORS. Freshers or experienced, but animators.

Lots of studios.
Youre interests are visualization and storyboarding? Well.... good luck! Usually visualization and boards are done by senior artists, not freshers.

Anywhere you go in India though, you'll find 100 other animators who just applied for the same job. Im not trying to discourage you, Im just telling you, there's a lot of competition and you have to focus: make a list of animation studios you'd like to work in and just contact their HR department and ask what qualifications they require. You don't need to be a genius... just useful.
