Hello!

I recently applied to the Art Institute in Orange County to the Media Arts and Animation program. I was wondering what the general opinion is of that program and its graduates? My ultimate goal at this time is to hopefully work on feature animation films for a company such as Dreamworks, Disney, Pixar, etc. Any feedback would be great! Thank you!

As what?
(ie. Animator? Designer? Art director? Modeler? Shading artist? Rigging TD? Pipeline TD? )

Just make sure the program includes lots of life drawing and classical animation. Since 3D is your goal, you'll also need strong traditional representational fine art skills, including tonal drawing, perspective and structural drawing, and anatomy. Do you have these skills already? If not, are they taught in the program you plan to take?

For now I plan to be an animator but as I am still new to the field if I end up developing an interest in say rigging, then my goal would change.

My question is really referring to the program in general. As in, what is the general opinion of the program and school for any position in the field really.
