Looking for short stories

Hi everyone,

Professional stop-motion animator is looking for good short stories.

I need you to be creative, spontaneous and original, able to communicate a specific idea. The theme is totally open and it will be directed to all kinds of public.

A short is SHORT: will be no longer than 1 or 1 and a half-minute.

I am serious, the film will be submitted to different film festivals around the world and of course you will get all the writing credits.

I have a very tight budget but we will discuss the pay once we get in contact.I am fare and willing to pay whatever you think you deserve as a writer (inside the limits!!). This is more a collaborative with potential of future projects if we work well as a team.

Tell me about you and send me your cv/resume or portfolio if you have some. And od course enthusiastic new writers/ storyboard artists are welcome.

Thank you all!

I feel compelled to mention that screenwriters often have a very different approach to writing than animation formats require. Take care to screen potential partners for those who show an understanding of the visual medium.

Also - you should enter the search with a very clear idea of what genre / tonality you are after. You'll only find a happy partnership if you know what type of result you're after. Is it character-driven slapstick, situational comedy with authentic characters, emotional / artistic...

all the best on the search!

reach out to screenwriter sites

Esther,
To find stories, you should reach out to Screenwriters, either at a Yahoo!Group, Google group, or ASA website. You should be able to find a screenwriter with a short 1-5 page script (i.e. 1-5 minutes) that you can use for free. Most writers like to see their scripts produced and screen credit would usually be just fine. Short scripts are hard to sell, because short films are hard to sell. If you are looking for scripts for shorts that you intend to sell, you should make some sort of deal with the screenwriter to give them a percentage.
