Transformers The Movie 20th Anniversary DVD

Any old school animation fans remember Transformers The Movie from 1986? I loved that movie as a kid, so I'm thrilled that they're finally releasing it on DVD in in a few months. Here's the trailer if you haven't seen it yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dU2TiL7Vgs

So I've found out that the Special Edition DVD set will include the the 16X9 widescreen version of the movie, commentary tracks, and remastered video. With all of the subpar quality releases that the movie previously had, I'm sure this edition will be absolutely awe inspiring. November can't get here soon enough.

Definitely. I think you can see from the Youtube video how cleaned up and better the new version is. I also heard that the trailer for the live action movie that is in Special Features will be way more than what we have seen to date. I am really excited about the original Japanese G1 commercials. Less the 48 hours to go!

This is exciting! I look forward to the movie next year, as well.

i watched it last night. Orson Wells actually sounds really awesome in the movie. The music is pretty funny - very 80's - i loved it.

I was shocked by how quickly the body count rises and the song "you've got the touch, you've got the power!" that blasts when Optimus Prime takes out Megatron was played by by Mark Wahlberg and John C Reilly in BoogieNights as they try to launch their singing career.

retro-awesome.
