Multi Animation Studio

I'm young and this is a rather eccentric pipe dream of mine, but is it posibble to set up an animation studio that deals with all the major types of theatrical animation. So hand drawn, CGI and stop motion, or is the cost to run such a business just to high?

The costs will be quite high if you plan on keeping everyone on staff full time. You will need three times as many animators than normal as there are very few animators who can animate well in two mediums let alone three. Plus you'll need CG modelers, riggers, lighters, FX, and textures. Then you'll need stopmotion modelers, setbuilders, lighters, and camera men. For traditional you'll need BG painters, ink and painters, inbetweeners, clean-up artists, and the like. So in short it's going to be expencive. I'm not sure even Disney will be able to pull it of if they decide to do both CG and traditional at the Burbank studio.

the cost will not be much if we plan it

Hi Archie,
well you can make a animation studio where u can have 2s,3d and other modes of animations.Fir it u need to plan it perfectly according to your requirements.for example u need to decide wheather u need a full fledged 2d stuiod with a lot of manpower or u need a small unit of 2d and a full fledged 3d set up. or u need a equally balanced studion od 2d n 3d?well it all depends on the requirements.

If you are really serious in this matter you can always contact me on justmail1973@yahoo.com.I may help you in this regard.
