Unique style of animation

Hi all,

This is my first post & I hope this is the right place for it.

I just wanted to share with you this new and unique style in animation.

visit http://www.auryn.com to check it out.

I think the places where it is most successful is where you are using a more 2D looking background with the 3D characters. Like in the Van Gogh short, the background with the house in the back. The flattened space shots also work more succesfully than where the brushstrokes are mapped onto a 3D plane in deep perspective. All in all it's very interesting and I'm sure there is still a lot of room to go even further with it.

Interesting shader going on there.

Some shots work better than others, but it's an interesting step towards a more painterly 3D treatment.

i was quite impressed with it, but i completley agree that some shots work better than others, sometimes the 3d characters take away from it...
think it would be way more effective in single level tho, but i like what there trying to do... its very pretty

Well this is something I came accross online.
I just wanted to share with you something I found.

Sorry for the confusion.
