ANIMATORS!

There's a new animation channel that's being launched on mobile phones, iPods, PSP and other digital devices. The channel will be distributed globally and will be supplied by two avenues:
A major studio is supplying ongoing, original episodes
YOUR ORIGINAL PRODUCTIONS (one-offs, pilots, short films are great... series are also accepted)

All the content is edgy and young adult (age 16 - 34)... think adult swim, south park, etc. No nudity, overt drug use, foul language, or excessive bleeping... suggestive debauchery is OK within limits.

COMPENSATION:
* CASH - we will be paying for your content
* Promotion - in conjunction with the major studio, we will massively promote the channel via online presence. That includes YOUR CREDIT AS CREATOR and tag in the episode (for personal website and/or your name)
* Market testing - this mobile animation channel will be used to test new ideas and concepts. The best performing series will be greenlit for ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION and potential cross platform (TV and film) distribution.

If you have existing animation that you own and is cleared/available for mobile/online usage, then get in touch with Zev Suissa at Mobix Interactive!!

wow - this sounds great!

Wow- this sounds great!

ROFLMAO! This guy responds to his own post! It's the bulletin board equivalent of an infomercial host! LOL!

That's not to say this isn't worth looking into or anything, but...

ROFLMAO!

true... but funny

so, it was a little exercise from my hack comedy side...

nevertheless, this is a very real opportunity.

Mobix is one the largest mobile video providers in the world, delivering over 1,000,000 clips per month to 31 operators worldwide. This new animation channel is a tent-pole project for us as we launch in the US.

at the very least, you'll make some money showcasing your work to millions of mobile video users. At best, your pilot will be picked up for TV or film. At medium, it will be picked up for more mobile episodes.

email me and provide links of your content...

okay, but...

... how does anyone providing you a link to their content know you won't swipe it, modify it for mobile and then pay them nothing?

I looked at your site and couldn't find a terms of use or liscensing agreement. maybe I missed it.

Also, RE "At best, your pilot will be picked up for TV or film. At medium, it will be picked up for more mobile episodes" as you state below, neither you nor your site state ANYTHING RE copyright/trademark/intellectual property rights for the animators who's material is what you are asking for (sans any guarantees).

See, in live action and in Hollywood, this is why everyone has to register their work with the WGA etc., and "real" companies demand that material sent in is registered with at least the WGA.

SO, I think anyone who even MIGHT entertain the idea of showing you anything (even via a link to a youtube account) should have you say firmly and unilaterally - HERE, where you posted - that you have agreements ready to make sure that no animation can be "swiped" or plagiarized.

If you don't have such agreements ready you are not - as you say - ready to approach film/TV/mobile providers

if you aren't willing to answer these concerns then you aren't willing to "so the right thing" and that means any animator should AVOID you.

I'll work 10 hours a day for $350.

Andreas does the photoshop posters for Paramount, gets $700 per day at 7 hours plus an hour off for lunch.

You do the math as to which is a better deal.

It's OK!!!

I hear your skepticism but it's completely unfounded.

Our website doesn't have the details of this new animation channel. It's a channel we're about to launch and it's somewhat under wraps except with the animation community. We have licensing agreements with Terms for your compensation ready to go. This is not a buyout or theft, its a very standard Hollywood procedure.

We're not looking to steal your work via link -- at some point we'll have to view samples to see if it's suitable for our channel, right? I'm open to other ways of course, but having been in Hollywood for 10 years I think that's a pretty good way.

As far as WGA goes, we don't care if it's registered -- the studio content is obviously copyrighted, and your content will be protected however you want to protect it -- we just expect you to own the rights, and to license them to us if we both see a match.

But having been here for, again, 10 years, Im also well aware of why there are cynics out there... fear not prospective friend. This is actually a pretty cool venture...

launch schedule

For those who have contacted us thank you! To let everyone know, the channel will be launching 1Q'07 -- the sooner we can secure your animation episodes the better for scheduling purposes.

look forward to hearing from you...
