Playing with Matches

Hey guys. I forgot to post the final version of my previous AnimationMentor assignment here. Sorry about that! Here ya go:

One of my peers at AM has pointed out a few nitpicky things that I still plan on adjusting. I'm afraid to look at it after seeing the famous Victor Navone lecture, lol. I've learned so much from it that I know I'll find a ton of new stuff to tweak on my shot.

Maybe you got it from Victor's lecture you are referring to, but the basis of a good scene are there it just needs to be pushed further into the extremes. Particularly when he goes into "they're not here right now.." you've got a real opportunity to push him, but you don't quite go far enough so the impact isn't there. It's good though.

Thanks for the crit Pixelmech! How do you suggest I push him further at the end?

Just go back and re-evaluate your extreme poses. Maybe he is pushing his face right up in front and turning his head or something. It's kind of really up to you, just experiment and see how you can push him a bit further into his poses. If you go too far with it, you will know and then just pull back some. That will give you an idea of where he probably should be.
