This daily sketch forum is a great idea- I assume animation is ok (?)

The second 2 are apart of the same project (my site's future opening)

I can't say for sure when I'll finish these or whether or not I'll even finish them... they might go the way of "liny"... man I'm one unreliable lazy bastard. But yeah.. MORE TO COME... unless I get hit by a bus or something equally as aesthetic.

I haven't visited Doodlebug much myself lately. Your work here is fantastic. :)

updated... again- with sound

FIDDLE! Haha, never thought i would see you here. A small world it is indeed.
I wonder if you remember me...

No glass shattering? As far as the art, I think it was more coherent before the path of curvaceousness as he flies through the air, but I like watching this because even though it's far different from normal camera direction you'd see (ie shot-to-shot) that's one of the reasons it's at least initially appealing. I wonder how it will hold up to repeat viewings. Very fluid and I like the various line weights in your work. Makes for some good designs.

Thanks, I appreciate the input-

I’m going to add a horizon and maybe some scenery to tip the viewer as to what’s going on. I’ll also probably add the shattering glass to give that broken glass sound effect some validity.

A building and a tree, not ment to be apart of any specific scene or setting, just two seperate vector images I put together in flash.

Thanks

*looking at your doodle gallery* you should really get a sketch thread going, your doodles are awesome

Semos UPDATED

I took out the original sound and opted for music instead... added about 2-3 more seconds of animation and touched up a few other parts.

Updated, added about 2 more seconds plus a horizon and a little scenery... which I will add to later.

man, I really haven't made much between then and now... that's depressing. moved my site: http://toastybuns.monfster.com/

I like the title bar, I change/alter it every time I update the page. I have some scans I will soon... scan.

Some disturbing stuff -for somebody who's been at the bottom of the depression roller coaster a couple times- but all of it well done, cool and creative.

I made this from a sketch an aquaintence of mine supplied... if all goes right we plan to expand on it.

The disconnected line under his right "arm pit" is kind of bugging me... but to fix it would be a pain in the ass.

It still reads really strangely as a path of motion. Maybe having small things on the landscape and having them rotate so we know the whole area is turning. Not that it makes it any less appealing. I like the new drawing, too, and the line doesn't bug me. It'd be easy enough to BS. But go ahead and do the pain in the ass thing. Extra efforts always rock, and more people should stick to them.

Thanks- yeah I'll probably have to get around to touching it up later anyways...

as for the ani- yeah, you're right it just doesn't look very good... Im getting rid of the horizon, but still adding shrubs and whatnot... and to give his movement some validity I'll just have a hail of cannon balls flying around him...? I dunno- but I want to perfect it.

heh

- you're animations a very dynamic - I like them

Updated once again:

SemosUPDATED

Quite a bit longer- and I removed the sound...

hola, yeah I remember you from doodlebug, but vaguely (haven't visited the site much). how goes it?

Thanks noodle

Here's something I did tonight, not finished- but the first 3 scenes (2 seconds) are complete.

The reason the car looks so well done is because I traced it from some random image of a used car... I can't draw automobiles worth crap (among other things...).

Fixed n' altered..

I was thinking of trying a different color scheme... I like the other one better- but this one has its aesthetic..

same image basically (in the wee hours)- using a similar approach as far as color goes...

Thanks, sower :D

Low on space so I have to use devart... I used the png approach with this one to give some nice lighting effects and blurs where needed. Though the size is a bit of a problem so I think I'll be a bit more sparing next time... Great for blurs though.

Thanks Scoob

I've been going through a sun/moon landscape setting phase lately-

I'm especially pleased with this one:

edit: I think I might try to saturate the colors a bit more... it's got kind of a dull glaze about it.

nice fluidity.

What with work I haven't had a chance to post recently... or animate much for that matter- here's some stuff I've been working on in the last months.

some more than others...

love those colors and the animation ....what are they produced with flash?

cart:D

thanks!

with flash, though I have incorporated some PS into my ani's before, like the one with the suit being shot 3 times in the youtube compilation.

figured I might as well post a bunch of crap

http://toastybuns.monfster.com/ani/poop.html

The animation isn't quite finished yet, I have to remove some lines, color it in and possibly add a couple frames to fix the loop.

^ what???

i dont get it, they guy turns, and then next scene the vw has a hole put through it?

The 24, tediously drawn frames inbetween those moments are the key to understanding.

Dude!

glad to see your working hard at it......I need to knuckel down and get back to animating.

the wave is a bit fudged... should fix that, and color it.
