Does animations really need 3rd party exclusive composers ?
Iam one who want to stretch my legs in compositions and work on animation projects as they contain vast array of emotions and they can really help me churn my talent in all fields. Can i really get a job in this field. Will anyone hire an exclusive composer for their works or do they pick up others` works from somewhere like Internet ? Kindly tell me if there are any. Im trained for 12 years informally {not through institute} and i have already worked on commercial projects. I have all pro-equipment to produce music. Im interested in animation jus for the reason of the variety of emotions and styles and the challenge they offer to the composer. Btw, Im from India and looking for projects in the same place, anywhere.

Thats really good to hear from you guys. Due to some reasons i put only a few of my scores on the internet. Mind you these dont resemble Jingles. The ones in this site were posted last year and i think the 3rd and 4th scores will suit a 3d game/film where a battle is going on. The first two were experimental "songs" , so they might not suit the animations maybe. The benefit you get by listening to these is the quality of sound and mixing which is important and will be found in every score that comes out from me.

I have just recently started a new website: http://www.freelance-music.com where you can browse for projects, sign up to recieve e-mail notifications when a project in your specialized area is posted, and you can even sign up and post your own projects for free.
You also can put information about yourself in a free profile. The only fee you will encounter is if you actually hire a freelancer, or become hired yourself. At that point the fees are 3% or $1 for those who hired a musician. And for the musician it is 5% or $5 whichever is greater. So there is no risk in signing up and posting a project!
You guys should check it out although it is just started and there isnt a lot of activity yet. It will soon be filled with freelancers and the people looking to hire them.
If you know of any of anyone who might be interested in using this service you should definitely tell them about it!

Well i am presently already workin for an animation company at my hometown here for which i composed quite a lot jingles for Flash animations and designed SFX for events, im looking for more challenges to realise myself as i think im not yet given chance to stretch where i want to. BTW, thats a very good service you got there Freelancemusic, hope we have Indian based scouts out there looking for able music/sound designers. :)

If you are looking to explore more types of composing there is a free demo available of this new software called Notion. I tried it and thought it was pretty easy to use and helpful for a beginner like myself. Oh and the best part- The makers of Notion are sponsoring a composition contest, with the grand prize being a live recording section with the London Symphony Orchestra. I thought it was pretty cool.
