anyone know where to view feature film rough animations other than on DVD extras? I've always enjoyed the art before cleanup more than the finished product

Tricky. As far as I know, most studios won't allow "unpolished" material shown to people outside the studios except on special occasions like the "Beauty & The Beast" DVD Special Ed. Maybe if you get an "inside contact" ...
