New Studio Pictures

hi guys. moved into my new studio last month. took about 2 and a half months of work to get it up and running. has space for about 12 pcs and 6 traditional animators. with 2 private offices a lobby and waiting , a pantry, bathroom (obviously) and a conference room.
its still quite new so not very personalised.
love to see some of your work spaces as well.

id say been there a month now. we kept the plastic on to ensure no stains. seems we forgot to take em off :)
thanx guys.

Nice looking :D
Just curious, who are you doing animation for?
Spoooze!

producing a series of our own. 26 epi x 11 mins. in pre-production right now. have some ideas for some local ad agencies who ill be pitching to as well. but working for ourselves mostly at present.

hi

it looks fine and I wish you to success in animation

thanx prem.

Very Nice

Wow, looks great!!!

I like the doors. Are they made with two types of wood or are they stained that way?

I wish you the best and hope you much success. :)

looks nice, a little cramped though. Do you only have two animation desks?

If so I guess you'll be working with Flash, Toon Boom or Cell Action?

one question, are the animation tables *with the disks* usually that close? doesn't look as if they have any freedom, maybe its just the pic.

hey Noob! it does look a little close but it is quite comfortable and even if both blokes moved in opp directions (i.e. right n left) they can work without problems. ideally i had it close by so i can have a trainee or someone sit in with the lead animator so he can point out stuff right off and save time.

skinny do u mind explaining how it all started,i'm seriously looking into having my own studio in the future

once upon a time. heheeh. well. its a bit of a long story. i studied in new york and worked in chicago for a while. ive always had a creative bent and i decided to return to india and do something in media. i started with graphic design did a few book covers and ads but it wasnt what i wanted. i thought why not try animation. it seemed like a good profession to get involved in.
so i rented this space and hired a few misfits and we started in a really cramped place. just making pilots and practicing. took us a while to get up on the quality ladder. we put together some resources to produce a pilot but i had a partner and we decided to split up. so he took the pilot with him. so we started working on something else and did our market research. it goes into production 1st Oct. in the end we are pretty confident in our product so we decided to move into a better facility to produce an entire series. so we kind of did move in what you guys see there. its roughly made for bout 20 people comfortably and bout 35 if i cramp things.
the money comes from me and my family. i have picked up a producer out in London and am talking to someone in New York. Either way production money is here so we are a go.
Distribution is next.
phew. im sweating :)

So was this a ready made studio?,and all u did was put all the chairs and tables in,or did u have hire people to make it what it is?

yum shiny! :D

u kidding mate! the place was kaput. everythng from flooring, to panels to wiring and varnish was done from scratch. only thing the place came with was walls :)

i assumed that was the case.

so yeh,are u rich?

lend me some money please

Nice studio.
Keep the plastic on the chairs. It looks retro!

The only thing to do with good advice is to pass it on. It is never of any use to oneself. My Blog: Strange Thoughts

its two kinds of wood. the door is one type and the red corners are panels. i was quite against the redwood panels. i thought they were weird. but i think they look pretty nice.

it does look a little cramped but thats coz its kind of long. but its wider than it looks. the narrowest point is bout 7 feet and no one sits at those points.
there are 2 big desks and im going to use the last 1/3 with porta discs. but we will be using Flash a plenty as well.

thanx. its just real laziness. we all love the newness of it so no one wants to go around removing plastic i guess :)
