Did anybody get and internship at cartoon network before?

3 students of the national school of cinema are going to be selected from cartoon network to join them with a 3 months internship.
It's the first time for our school.

I was wondering about how many times they use to offer those opportunities to students during a year?

does anybody know?

thanks

Hi Valentina, I believe that they offer the internship program three times a year, for the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.

If you refering to Turner studios in Atlanta, they take a lot of interns, all year long. They have an "official" internship program in the summer, but I've spoken to the powers at be several times and they have told me if you're persistant, good timing, and the skills they are looking for, they will take you on at any time of the year.

Also I'm not sure how the internships work for international students as the interns have to be full time students at the time, as well as put in 10 to 20 hours, I think, a week. This is for Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, Turner has different starndards. You should be able to call Cartoon Network Studios and ask for the HR department, and they should be able to give you all the info you need.

I'm a little confused, is turner a film company who own cartoon Network? What about opportunities within Europe or the UK, ne1 got info?

thanks,

Adam

Time/Warner is a film media company, you know, Warner Bros. They inturn own Turner Networks which is a TV broadcasting company and they own, networks such as TNT, CNN and Cartoon Network and others. Turner is based out of Atlanta as is Cartoon Network's corperate devisions as well as the Adult Swim devision. Cartoon Network Studios is located in Burbank California, and this is where they do the Pre-production work for shows like Power Puff Girls, Clone Wars, Billy and Mandy, and Foster's, as well as production for Fosters.

They are all one big happy family, but like any multi-national, multi-media company, they all have their own divisions and sub-divisions. As I only worked at Cartoon Network Studio that is the only part that I have some knowledge in. I'm not sure about Europe or the UK. Sorry.
