I guess this qualifies to be under the "business" of animation. I live in San Diego and i'm not sure if any of you are familiar with the radio talk show "Love Line" on 91x. Well I was skimming through channels and the first thing I heard was Anime on this station. I listened some more and some chick gets paid 6 figures drawing for gay anime movies.

IMO, its bull ca-ca.
Anime artists in Japan get paid okay, but not six figures, as the budgets for anime films are notoriously quite low.
The "big bucks" used to be paid out Here in North America in the heady days of the animation boom in the early 90's, but it didn't last.
I have SERIOUS doubts anyone is paying that kind of coin for gay porn cartoons.

I agree my friend. It sounded crazy to me as well and I honestly don't think someone would be getting that much money for something that only a small percentage of the population is into. The girl lives here in the states and is not Japanese. I'm not sure if that makes a difference but all in all I also think it's a faulty claim!

It sounds dubious. I heard the average animator in Japan gets paid the equvalent of $12,000 a year. So much for glamourous.
If her work is linked to the pornography industry, who knows? It is, unfortunately, a multi-billion dollar industry. I've casually stumbled across "fan-'hentai'" looking up Anime on this here net, so there is a market for ...well...everything. While I believe true Japanese animation can only come from Japan, what she may be doing is anime-looking/inspired animation.
Then again, maybe she does work in Japan.
Although such dolllar figures for "actors" can be chalked-up as danger pay. As an animator she won't get an s.t.d. from her work.
