ASCII Walk Cycles and TypeDrawing

They're ASCII in format, but not silly pixelated profile graphics. They're still mostly fleshed out in perspective, but many of them are decent walk cycles for insects and other animals.

More drawing, less animation, but I thought the inherent illusion of motion used in some pieces would appeal to people in here. Plus most of us are draftsmen.

wow o.O

Their stuff is crazy! Imagine how long those must have taken! The level of detail that some of the animation's have is amazing. You can tell that the race horse has shiny fur and you can see the detail of the lizard that walks towards you. My favorite animation is the first spider walk cycle. It moves almost, if not perfectly. That site is a great find, Scattered! :D

Based on the things like Die Simpsons, I think a lot of them were animated-GIFs-cum-converted-animations, but I agree. A lot of them have great motion, and as an added feature you can do frame-by-frames!

One of my friends said there's a script that turns GIFs into ASCII animations. It's still pretty cool, though. :p
