Best Books???

I'm looking for the best books to really teach me some good technique. I'm going to The Art Institute of San Diego in the summer and want a good head start. I remebered coming accross a list of books that disney recommended but they took that list off.

I want something that teaches really good technique in all aspects. My weakest point is probably perspective as well as facial expressions.

Animation/Comic Book drawing/Anatomy/Manga/Life are all fine as I want to be able to draw all types of styles

here's a thread with the list of Disney Recommended book:

I'd also add:

How to draw comics the Marvel Way by Lee and Buscema.
This is a great intro to anatomy. It's a simple approach that many beginners tend to grasp really well.

The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams
Timing for Animators
Acting for Animators

to name a few.

good luck.

I once received How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way as a video. That's hilarious, and simple and informative.

Hey thanks a lot guys! That was exactly what I was looking for! Yeah I was about to pick up a copy of "How to draw comics the marvel way" but I didn't feel like paying 20 bucks for it since I can get it cheaper else where. I did happen to read the whole thing at the book store and that really is a good book for teachin the fundamentals!
