Wacom Rocks

I got a Wacom Tablet for Christmas and finally got a chance to try animating with it. It makes animating in Flash so much easier than with a mouse. It's much more like animating on paper this way, without so much flipping and leaning over the lighttable. So I did a couple quick tests but I'm only going to show one. I might clean it up at the beginning of next week. I'm hoping to make a nice lil DVD of my animated stuff (in Flash and in Maya once I download and learn it) at some point. I need to get some new material for it, though, as my school work is sub par to say the least. Then maybe some day I can get employed in the animation field.

I like it too. It's not as quick and mechanical as a dog's, but it's lighter...enough to see and enjoy the movement inherent in a dog scratch. The middle part's the meat part. Then the end gets very realistic and slams the foot down. If it weren't for that first SPIKE frame it could almost be a loop...that really breaks my concentration =) But that has nothing to do with your work quality, which is good for a rough.

Great work, that's some of the best work I've seen you do! I like that it's very rough and loose. Very different than the work I usually see you do which tends to be tighter and more restrained. Only thing that bothers me is the tail flashing in and out on a few frames. I'd just take that out. But you get all the feeling and expression with those rough squigles. Keep playing.

oh wow.. that's such a sweet litle animation !!!
way to go..
I agree with scattered about the spike stuff..
but even though...

just keep doodling away..

I enjoyed watching that. Good timing, and the character of the dog comes through well.

I have a hard time doing rough work on a Wacom. Funny thing is, I had a Wacom when I hadn't started using a pencil yet...
