i would like to get a program that is easy for beginners to use but makes good quality anime drawing.
so if any1 knows a program i could download mayb ? anything ?
i agree with eric
ive been working in the graphic design industrie and i must say those people who have limited skill and tallent that have those degrees get better jobs than i do its quite anoying, i myself am the best graphic designer in my area yet my jobs get taken away from me by people who happened to have a degree, and their work is below sub par if that.
people dont understand tallent some times, they just go for what they belive is standard...
thats why i left the graphic design market and went into game design and animation, although i will still advertise that i can do it on my portfolio site.
now back on topic.
As for anime well if you cannot do it on paper, then start there, using a computer will just help with coloring. their arent any good free programs unless you consider piracy free... although the french are shutting down alot of bittorrent sites. now i sugest if you can get a copy of adobe photoshop. the new CS version has some illistrator thing built into it.
good luck to you, as long as you are animating with this style you will go some where, drawing pictures and nothing more can just cause you a waste of time
I think polycarbon may have some of the types of advice or links to that type of stuff. If it helps...
Yes that site has great resources. The guy who made it ought to be commended for his efforts.
He has great tutorials for how to scan your artwork and digitally colour it.
He also includes step by step drawings so you can follow with ease.
As a drawing program, Macromedia Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop are the most popular choice.
Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.

No program will draw anything for you. You do that.
A good program is "BFA," even better is "MFA."
An even better program is the draw-every-day program. I think there are books on it, but basically the system involves A) drawing every day, B) drawing difficult things, C) showing your drawings to honest critics (not mom), and D) buying a robot that can mimic your performance.
My personal opinion is that BFA and MFA programs vary according to provider and are usually not reliable.
True Harvey, but they provide the motivation to draw everyday. ;)
It's a sad fact, John. Motivation costs $10K+ per year.
Sometimes shame can also finance motivation.
I interviewed for a position as a graphic artist for this crummy newspaper last week. (I know a guy who works there, I mean, they use MS powerpoint for layout.) Anyway, I send a link to a little online portfolio. (Honestly, I think my stuff is WAY better than anything this paper does.) They say, good work but you need to have a BFA or MFA. Sorry. I say... MF!
hey like i can draw and i draw alot i just want to b able to draw on the pc and b able to hav a program that adds good color thats not just 1 flat shade.
probably either Photoshop or Illustrator, depending on what style you want to achieve
If you're looking for a cheap or free program, try www.download.com
Sounds like your work was better than your potential boss'.....but of course, they are not going to say that. The degree thing is horse puckey. If it were true they would have said so before application.
Could u tell me wat program id b lookin 4 on that site ?
i like to draw stuff like neon genisis or vampire hunter D..
i want it to b free ( im jsut startin) and able to allow me to make good quality anime on the PC. thanx
