question 4 Ender, Rob, and/or Larry

Hey guys. I was wondering about the time I will have to complete my animation assignments once I start my ANIM classes. My drawing teacher gives out assignments every Wed, and collects them the following Wed. Are the assignments in the animation classes given out and collected every week, or will we have more time to work on them? It probably depends on the class, but if you guys could give me a general idea of how that works, it'd be great.:D

Sorry, I'm not any of those people in the title, but I did go to SCAD. You usually have around a week to complete most assignments... around 2 or 3 for finals.

sorry

Thanks David. Sorry for not including you, if I had known you went to SCAD I would have put ur name up there too. ^-^

depends on the class, of course. Most starting animation assignments (At least in the 3d realm) are one or two week deals. Sometimes they have you work on small exercises during the first half of the quarter and then do a big project for the last half. Up to the teacher. You can always ask them personally. All the faculty are quite approachable.

Hello Mighty

Hello M.M.

The key (no pun intended) is to animate, animate, animate. My sense of it keep animating in 2D while you learn the 3D software. I feel you can learn more doing 2D first than 3D. Yes, with 2D, you are dealing with drawing issues but that's good for development -artistically and animation wise.

There you can layer the 3D stuff on top!

Do not become diverted by software- stick to animating.

Thanks.

Thanks for the advice guys ^-^
