How about a new Halloween thread like we had last year. Let's have an AWN Halloween Party. I'll work up a new character how about the rest of you?
Pat Hacker, Visit Scooter's World.
Would it be cheating to use one of my current characters dressed up for Halloween?
There's a little biker in all of us...
Definitely not. Anything goes. Just have fun like we did last year.
Here's one of the composite pics from last year. For those that missed out.
We all submitted stuff, then put together party pics. This is the one I have saved, but I know there were others also.
Ooooh I like this idea. I'm in. I'll have my new character up by sundown.
ill try to use someones scanner for this on. are we doing ourselves for halloween or what?
Last year I think we were supposed to depict ourselves in costume, but hey you can see it was up to liberal interpretation. Anything goes. Let's have a party!
where do we post/upload/whatever our stuff?
Right here. This is pretty informal and I am not Dan or Larry, so it's not an offical thing. No prizes just fun!
Well this isn't a new concept, but maybe it'll get us in the mood this is an older piece I put together. I am stilll working on my new character.
This is part of an illustration I am playing with for Ray Bradbury's "The Halloween Tree", one of my favorite Halloween stories. For now, this is my submission for the AWN Forums "Halloween Party" ;)
Great witch Ender. I working on a devil at the moment in between logo asignments. Keep them coming.
That was such a fun thread last year. I will see what I can come up with later. :D
I don't know what I'm going to be this year in reality. . .who knows if I can come up with something to draw too!
2-D animation will never die. The invention of photography did not kill painting. Why would animation be any different?
Dancing Cavy Productions
I can tell you what I'm gonna be. At school working on my thesis.
that'd be kinda cool----
Okay, I think I know what I want to be this year. And, as luck would have it, I drew myself as it about a month ago! Score!
i'm making a trex for out of foam rubber for my 4 year old. it'll look something like this...
DXV, when you get the costume done, we want to see pictures.
Yaaay! The Halloween thread is up and running. This is always a fun one to read every year. I decided to draw Poe since he goes hand in hand with the holiday.
Great work everyone. Looking forward to seeing more.
My Crockpot of News and Thoughts
Good one JChap. What's Halloween without Edgar Allen?
Who's going to put together a composit for us this year any volunteers?
now, now. we can't let this thread die yet. Its not Halloween!
I am up to my ears with ISP problems, but doesn't anyone have some fun Halloween stuff to share.
I hope you will like this halloween animation.

WOW! Great work guys! Last year's thread was tons of fun, and this year's shaping up to top the last! I'll be submitting more as the week goes! Here's two quick Ghoul sketches for ya now!
Cereal And Pajamas New Anthology : August 2007
This is a logo I've been working on for a pop band. Actually I just put this together for fun, but it's kind of Halloweeny.
I hope you will like this halloween animation.
Dig the saucer's tractor beam! Nice effect!
No new Halloweeny stuff?
Here's my big Hallowe'en pic for this year. One of my favorite movies of all time, a classic hands down! I'll be posting more character sketches too! Cheers
Lovin it dan :D
Thanks for the comps Chason! Glad you like it! Here's another quick diddy for Hallowe'en, the devilman himself, Rob Zombie. Cheers
This skeleton is more happy than he is scary... he's not even all that happy, on second thought... just confused...
Nice skelly jchap.
I've got one I really like, but I entered it in a contest in another forum. I think I have to wait for that to get started on judging before I do much else with it... aaah, check it out if you want:
Feel free to chop something out of it for the Halloween group shot, or let me know if you want a particular part of it. I did it on paper, then traced, colored and composited it in Flash. Finally I took it to Photoshop where I touched it up with the Dodge and Burn tools. Yeah, I also cheated on the bricks with the texturizer. Next time I make my own bricks. Lots of adobe around here...
Which is scarier...the biker, the cycle or the skeleton? Hard choice.
the theme of the contest was (is) "ooo-scary" Deadline was 10/23 and the voting hasn't started. I'm gettin' kinda perpituous about it. (I just made that word up) My skeleton, Mr. Grim, is being sarcastic. What fear has death of anyone, regardless of Julius Caesar's bold statements that death feared him?
Wow,this comp looks fun! i think i'll have 2 enter! got lots of work to do but will scribble a few characters out this week in animation class!
Lovin what 've seen so far! Keep up the good work guys!
Flashman's right, there's some wicked scariness in this thread. Here' another spooky sketch, cheers!
Here's something i did today. Sketched it out in pencil, scanned in then played around with my new tool 'mutiply' and 'luminosity'! haha, can't believe I've been working without them!
So really I'm a photoshop newbie. Neway, see what u think. the colour was added quickly.
You've got love Photoshop and all it's tools. Nice pics everyone. I am working on another one.
Here's two more scary ghouls for yall! Cheers
Hello I did this as a joke for some friends who own a bakery on Tybee Island.
It features Ty B. Bear...
TyB is almost as cute as the Scooter.
Never did finish my last piece, but since it's Halloween. Happy Halloween!
Happy Holloween From England!!!
Wot a fun thread. Some great artwork! Very nice people.
I saw this post this morning and thought, "Oooh yeah! I should sketch up something for that." Well, they don't call me the slodog for nuthin' but I finally put pencil to paper in between all the interruptions from these little ghosts, ghouls and goblins that kept showing up at my door. (They just wanted candy. I wasn't scared at all... I wasn't!)
Anyway, here it is
Happy Halloween everyone!
My goodness Jared, it's like Tim Burton directing a Peanuts cartoon.
I like the unconventional "overbite" flap mouths.
Dan, sweet Teen Wolf drawing!
Excellent work, everyone!
i can't tell you how many times i had to hear the word "hairball" that night!
