Favorite line in an animated movie?
Does anybody else have a fave line that they just look foward to when you watch an animated movie.
Mine's would have to be from Who Framed Roger Rabbit when Jessica Rabbit declares that "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way" U gotta lover the writers for that
"And I'm packing your ANGRY eyes, just in case", Toy Story 2...sorry if quote isn't 100% accurate...think it's right. :)
aw cammon! It's gotta be from Shrek, when the Gingerbread boy spits at Lord Farquaad and says "eat me!"
it's so wrong, it's almost right.
almost.
It never became anything really but this was in an old script i wrote, comedy action cant really say it qualifies.
char 1: "Shoot him, Shoot him NOW!"
char 2: "Wait, oh my god, dude thats a chick!"
"Yoikes and awaaaaaaaaay!" Robinhood Daffy.
Okay, maybe that isn't a movie. How about:
"I go. You stay. No following." The Iron Giant to Hogarth.
Aloha,
The Ape
...we must all face a choice, between what is right... and what is easy."
No, Kittymao is right! It is the Gingerbreadman! But Shrek2.
"It's a thong!" lol
Monsters' Inc
Mike to Sully after Randall harassed him
"One day I'm gonna let YOU teach that guy a lesson!"
From the old Whinnie the Pooh movie where Tigger is introduced for the first time at Pooh's house and sees a jar full of honey.
Tigger: "Honey is what Tiggers love best... Yuck, Tiggers DEFINATELY don't like honey!".
A Bug's Life...
"No! Harry! Don't look into the light!"
"I can't help it...It's so beautiful!"
ZZAPP!

Hey, what about these...
"First rule of leadership, everything is your fault", HOPPER---Bug's Life
"When they know, you'll know, you know!"--CRUSH--Finding Nemo.
I like the old classics, any of these makes me happy to be an animator, and also very humble, snif!

or else...
Also by Daffy Duck
"I don't like pain, it hurts me!
"check it out, you know it makes sense!" http://miaumau.blogspot.com/
Brillant!! I remember seeing it in the theaters (3 times) and that line nearly blew my mind! I couldn't believe Spike swore!
Another quote I still say today (because I'm a nerd) -
"When are we gonna start bustin' Decepti-chops?!"- Ironside*
*Note: Later in the movie when Ironside and a bunch of other Autobots got F'd up, it also blew my mind....I was like 9

"But I don't wanna use my heeeeeaaaad!!!" (T-Rex, Toy Story 2)

Bugs Bunny-'Oh-ohh, railroad dicks'. (detectives)
I'm not sure how to spell it (and y'all no how important that is) but that blathering, slathing, slobbering thing that Taz always says. I find it cuts through the pretense of intellectual discourse and gets right at the emotional content of the moment in a primal and raw sort of way, leaving us to only guess at his motives and needs.
  :D

Daffy is a one-liner goldmine!
"I don't like pain 'cause it, hurts me!"
"You might be big and strong, but I'm small and pewny" (Rupert, please come to my rescue, is pewny spelt like this? :D)
"check it out, you know it makes sense!" http://miaumau.blogspot.com/
I like what Marlon says in finding Nemo
He's looking into the light source of the angler fish and says something like
'I feel happy thats a big deal for me'
You were like WHOA! and i was like WHOA! then we were like WHOOA
- Crush the sea turtle, Finding Nemo
What would scooby do?
Nice one, Saider E! :D
Daffy Duck, " I didn't get this rich by paying".
From TOY STORY 2 after Mr. Potato Head saves the little green aliens and they keep saying : " You have saved our lives we are forever grateful"
What would scooby do?
Looney Toons, when Bugs Bunny gets caught up with Mugsy Maloy.
1, Mugsy to Bugs: "Shut up shuddin' up rrrabbit."
2, Mugsy to the big guy after the front tire goes flat and they make Bugs hold the axle while they drive: "Let's take the scenic route, heh, heh, heh."
(finding nemo)When Doris is sleeping in the mask (the ship scene) and she sleep talks:
"No, really, I am a true blue"
There are alot of things she said that cracked me up

That's mine too. Had me laughing hysterically out loud for the first time that I can remember at a movie.
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that has been given to us." ---Gandalf
No doubt there were many others in 'Popeye' cartoons, but he went miles beyond the Delphic inscription, "Know thyself", when he uttered the famous line:
" I YAM WHAT I YAM AN' THASS ALL I YAM ".
And for a delightful anticlimax, displacement statement, there's Daffy's famous line after the argument of when and who to shoot, having been outfoxed (out-bunnied?) by Bugs and thoroughly blasted:
"Hmmmmmm......pronoun trouble".
This thread is fun !
Let's keep digging for more of these treasured gems !
"I don't want to be a pie! I don't like gravy!"
"Oh, me life flashed before me eyes! *pause* It was really boring."
(that ditzy chook from Chicken Run)
Howabout, Bugs: "Hah! What a maroon!"
From the same cartoon, Norm.
"Well I say he does have to shoot me now! So shoot me now!" - Daffy, "Duck Season, Rabbit Season"
"My friends need to be punished"
- Lilo from "Lilo and Stitch" when she is doing voodoo on the girls in her dance class.
and Nick Park's "Creature Comforts" has a ton of great lines... i crack up every time i watch that.
