Ed Gavin, your website?

Hi,

Mr. Gavin, I believe you had a personal website that I use to have a link to. Would you mind sending me the link to it if it's still available?

Thanks for your advice you've provided in the past. I am in the position you were in at 27.

Sorry but I don't keep a personal site. I have a site that I maintain for work purposes for my students but you need a Ringling account to get in.

Good to hear you are taking the opportunity to change the direction your career is headed; it's a decision that I never regretted. Returning to school in your late twenties adds a whole new perspective to things; best of luck.

Hm,

Ok thanks anyway, I must have you confused for someone else. I remember someone's website with a pretty cool essay/article I guess you could call it. It was basically someone that started around that age to get in gear. I remember it being very inspirational. Basically and get off your @ss and do it pep talk =)

I did start over at 27 so it could be been something I wrote on the old forum before the crash a few months back.

The best thing is most of the others students are coming in right after highschool and are in the "mom and dad ain't here and I can party as much as I want" mode and aren't taking anything all that seriously. I had basicly been there and done that and knew what it was like stuck in a career that was going no where so I was more than happy to watch them waste their time and make me look great in the process.

Just approach school like it was your job and you'll be fine.

change

Mr.Gavin,
I came in late but relate to what your saying about starting over at 27. Just as I have done now I am 30 still at the change. Were you in a related field before you switched?

I was a dental lab technician specializing in orthodontics. I made orthodontic study models, retainers, palletail splitters and other torture devices used to create a beautiful smile.
