In this two-part interview, Haarm-Pieter Duiker, a VFX supervisor at Epic Games, talks about convergence in visual effects and game development tools and production pipelines, the growing use and impact of real-time game engines on digital content production methodologies and how these new digital tools are being used more and more in feature film production as well as games.

He also discusses Epic’s new MOBA game, Paragon, including his work on the cinematic trailer, advances in the complexity and resolution of the game’s characters and how the real-time engine is changing the face of games, virtual experiences and digital entertainment.
