Maho is a little shy boy who plays like a baby. One day, he sees a puffy haired thing is lying in the house. That thing is his new brother, Daigoro. Maho’s father went to the polluted woods and found Diagoro there. After seeing the little injured monkey, he decides to bring him home. From the moment of their first meeting, these two brothers have a continuous rivalry. The house turns into a battlefield! But, through their quarreling, friendship eventually begins to grow. Maho and his family, his friends and neighbor share with Daigoro their love and dreams full of hope.

The story is based on the Japanese book, ‘Thank You, Daigoro’. (Written by Otani Junko / Picture by Otani Age) The story is about Otani’s family who lives with Daigoro. Daigoro is a handicapped monkey who does not have legs and has only arms that ends at elbow. The family took care of Daigoro like a son, like a brother, like family. This touching story was broadcasted on television in the title of ‘Fly Daigoro’. Age’s wife Junko also wrote a book ‘Daigoro with The Wings of an Angel’ which was a smash hit. 100,000 copies of the book were sold in Japan.
