Highlights of FMX 1994-2020 Launching May 5

Starting tomorrow, running through May 8 and then every two weeks through the end 2020, conference will post a new online piece dedicated to an outstanding personality from the event’s history.

FMX’s new series of online shows, Highlights of FMX 1994-2020, kicks off tomorrow, May 5, with Jan Pinkava, Academy Award-winning founder and Creative Director of the renowned Google Spotlight Stories project. A pioneer in animation and immersive media, Pinkava has been a continuous source of inspiration for FMX over the last two decades. In his exclusive interview, he will share with you his personal views on the world of animation. Running through May 8 and then every two weeks through the end 2020, the Highlights of FMX 1994-2020 program will post a new online piece dedicated to an outstanding personality from the event’s history.

There are two possible ways to join our Highlights of FMX 1994-2020 shows:

1. Get interactive: Please go to our website www.fmx.de a few minutes before the show. By entering your name and email address, you can join the interview room, send in your questions, and chat with the other participants. The number of participants is limited, so be there on time.

On Wednesday, May 6, 18:00 CET, we will continue with Volker Engel, President, Uncharted Territory.

On Thursday, May 7, 18:00 CET, we will meet Regina Pessoa, Animation Director, Ciclope Films.

Embracing the spirit of Eastern European animation, Portuguese animator Regina Pessoa has developed a unique artistic style and created highly personal films that have all become cornerstones of independent animation. In an exclusive interview, Regina will give us insights into her work - past, present and future.

On Friday, May 8, 18:00 CET, it is time for Ed Hooks, Actor / Acting for Animators.

Teaching generations of animators what is essential in bringing the soul of a character to life, Ed Hooks has been a highlight of FMX throughout the years. In his exclusive interview, Ed will tell us how he plans to continue to bring his Acting for Animators series of workshops to a worldwide audience.

After the show on May 8, FMX will continue to bring you a new episode of Highlights of FMX 1994-2020 every two weeks.
