This EMMY award winning animated TV special was created by Tom Wilson and directed by Richard Williams.
Just in time for Christmas Eve - ZIGGYS GIFT! This week I received my DVD copy of ZIGGY'S GIFT, the Emmy award winning Christmas special. This is the first time I have seen this wonderful film available on DVD. Ziggy's creator Tom Wilson just passed away a few months ago. Some thirty years ago my wife and I used to frequent a shop devoted to Ziggy merchandise run by Tom's bother in Laguna Beach, California.
ZIGGY'S GIFT was directed by Richard Williams (of WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT fame)
The animation supervisor was Eric Goldberg. Other notable animators who worked on this classic include:
Tom Sito, Sue Kroyer and Barry Temple.
The music is by Harry Nilsson.
The character acting is top notch.
BTW, the DVD images are beautiful!
