CINANIMA 2023 - call for entries deadline 23 June 2023
CINANIMA 2023 – the 47th International Animated Film Festival of Espinho – will be held from the 13th to the 19th of November 2023. The oldest film festival in Portugal and the third oldest animation festival in the world, CINANIMA is an Oscar™ Qualifying Film Festival in the category of Best Animated Short.
Animation filmmakers from around the world are invited to submit their works in one of the following international competition categories:
- International Competition
- Short Films
- International Competition
- Student Films
- International Competition
- Feature Films
Portuguese filmmakers may also submit their films to the National Competition:
- António Gaio Award
- Young Portuguese Director Award
Animation films made after the 1st January 2022 are eligible as long as they haven't been submitted in the previous year.
The registration takes place exclusively online, free of charge, at FilmFreeway.
Submitters are advised to consult the Regulations and its Annexes before entering the film.
