Running October 21-26, 2019, the Tofuzi Animation Festival in Batumi, Georgia is the opportunity to see films and relax on the Black Sea coast.
The Tofuzi International Festival of Animated Film will take place from 21 - 26 October 2019 in the beautiful Black Sea city of Batumi, Georgia.
Georgia has a rich animation history dating back to the 1920s, but during World War II production of animation came to a virtual standstill. Animation is again blooming in Georgia and the Tofuzi International Festival of Animated Films wants to present Georgian animators to the world. The festival is also an opportunity for creative exchanges between Georgian animators and foreign artists.
Most important of all, the Tofuzi International Festival of Animated Film seeks to bring animation to the people of Georgia in regions of the country, where any cultural event is very rare, to popularize animation as an art form.
