The Anime Beat Tokyo & San Francisco

And depending on how my Friday and Saturday goes – this is Tokyo, after all –, I might even try some live blogging; bring you some images and a report or two straight from the source. Hell, maybe I’ll even get a twitter and blow smoke up the rear of my mundane wait in the airport.

Yes, the Con season is already underway. And while I’m always running around AX L.A. and Comic-Con San Diego, I do have other venues in my sights. First up: Tokyo and San Francisco.

That’s right kids. From March 25-28 I’m taking this dog and pony show to Japan for the Tokyo International Anime Fair. Needless to say, I’ll get my hands on anything and everything possible, and bring you the latest info on soon-to-be released titles. As the program becomes more detailed, I’ll let you know what’s on the agenda.

Speaking of airports, within four days of my return I’ll be boarding yet another plane. But it’s a short flight from OC to the Bay area. Dodging the travel funk won’t be too hard. And since WonderCon is in downtown S.F. from April 2-4, it’s well worth the quick turn around.

The so-called (smaller) sister show of Comic-Con, this should be a good preview of what’s to be bigger and better this summer in Gaslamp. Expect good photos, good cosplay, and more news on the latest in anime, manga, gaming, and even Hollywood.
