I Have A Question Regina Pessoa

In which Chris Robinson asks animators profound and inane questions that have little to do with animation. This week's guest is award-winning Portuguese animator, Regina Pessoa.

Tragic Story with Happy Ending by Regina Pessoa

Regina Pessoa is a Portuguese animator whose animated short films (Kali, The Vampire, Tragic Story with Happy Ending, The Night) have earned her awards, great respect and millions of dollars in endorsements. * She graciously agreed to sit down with me in a forbidden Alaskan cave at 10:19pm during an unseasonably dry December morning to answer some probing queries about her soul.

I get the greatest pleasure from....

swim...
I like to swim, is what gives me the most pleasure in life: to be lying in the sun, get hot, jump into the water and swim until l get tired and then start all over again.

The sport I do or would like to play is...

Ah! I told you already... SWIM!...
A couple of years ago I also started boxing a bit, just for 'fun'. I’m not good at all but it is quite nice!

A (non-family member) person I idolize is....

Ah! (secretly, since I was little I idolize Indiana Jones... ssshhh!)

The song that makes me tingle is....

Well, it depends...
Tingle because I like the song? : "Wild is the wind" from Nina Simone.
Tingle because I hate the music?: the kind of 'Very Best of Jazz Lounge - A Smooth Trumpet Session In the Mix', or 'Romantic Saxophone collection part2' that we are obliged to listen when we go to the dentist or when we are on waiting while calling the Mobile phone service.

The funniest thing that happened to me...

to have a Goat as my best friend...

*I’m just guessing about the endorsement riches. I suspect it’s totally false. I hope it isn’t, but come on, we’re talking about independent animators here.

That reminds me. Did I ever tell you that joke? No? Well here it is:

“Did you hear the one about the rich animator?”

“Me neither!”

Happy Holidays from all six of us here at I Have A Question!
