David Lewandowski’s Experimental CG Shorts Are Perfect for Summer

Watch Lewandowski’s surreal, rubbery, naked CG characters in the gloriously wacky trio of experimental CG-animated short films ‘going to the store,’ ‘late for meeting’ and ‘time for sushi.’

‘time for sushi’ by David Lewandowski (2017).

David Lewandowski’s gloriously wacky trio of experimental CG-animated short films -- going to the store, late for meeting, and the greatly expanded time for sushi, in which our hero travels to Japan -- is the perfect antidote to the blistering summer heat of August.

Watch Lewandowski’s surreal, rubbery, naked CG characters inhabit the cool and breezy world of the everyday, and as they flap and flounder their way through Tokyo:

Based in Los Angeles, Lewandowski has also directed the Flying Lotus music video, “tiny tortures,” as well as “Hurting” for Friendly Fires, and contributed to the opening title sequence of TRON : Legacy. He also collaborated with interactive director GMUNK on animations for playback and interaction on set during production of Oblivion.
