Miller's Departure from Justice League a Hoax

DarkHorizons.com has retracted their story that George Miller has left the JUSTICE LEAGUE project. The report that Miller had gone on an Australian morning talk show was entirely false, according to Miller's representatives.

Rumors have been going around that Miller was off JUSTICE LEAGUE, but they have been now officially denied by his people.

JUSTICE LEAGUE is "being seriously worked on," added the representative.

Sorcerer's Apprentice Could be Jay Baruchel

Actor Jay Baruchel is in negotiations to play the title role in Disney's THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE, opposite Nicolas Cage as the sorcerer, per VARIETY.

Jerry Bruckheimer is producing the Jon Turteltaub-directed live action film. Baruchel (TROPIC THUNDER, KNOCKED UP) is part of director/producer Judd Apatow's league of comedians, and is also attached to co-star again with Seth Rogan in JAY AND SETH VS. THE APOCALYPSE, a project they have set up at Mandate Pictures.

Crime thriller THE STRAW MEN has been purchased by Benderspink, along with the rights to the comic adaptation by Zenescope Comics' head Joe Brusha, per VARIETY.

The book by British author Michael Marshall Smith is the first in a trilogy about a detective who comes out of retirement to solve a series of bizarre murders connected by a dark conspiracy. Chris Bender and JC Spink will produce the film adaptation, with Brusha and Ralph Tedesco to exec produce.
